Rowenta

I moved from one 4649 Umbria to 4651 Umbria. I guess I had just bought that new Rowenta iron. I still had the box when I moved to Media. So as you always clowned about, I never liked having tons of dishes, silverware, etc. I rarely had company coming over to eat back then, even now. So I ran out of spoons and lost a knife. Under my countertop, where I have all my rags and towels and cleaning products, I saw the Rowenta box stuffed in the box. I must've just taken it that night of the hurricane and brought it to Media. That was definitely a bear of a night. No fun moving during a hurricane, but also just not having a place to even go cause all the roads were flooded and posting up at that one hotel. On a workday no less. I had long since lost any respect for my company or the management....and could've cared less. Woke up and got my day started, had some breakfast and started to pack and left. So back to the box, you packed that box. You always did the most with least. God knows you had to do that way more times than I ever could've fathomed. I really had no idea. To this day I bet I still don't. So the box had an extension cord, wrapped in paper towels no less and then a bunch of silverware wrapped in a plastic ziplock. I don't even recall ever even putting that stuff away. It just made me happy that you cared enough to do that. It's insane how many people just don't care about others these days. It's sad. the me me me generations has evolved. I am actually happy that you don't have to see all of that social media stuff and doomscrolling and just people focused so much on their own "success" or whatever. Pulls away from the group dynamics and families I believe. I love that you were so much more into private times, private meals, small groups just talking and "shooting the shit". I miss that most about you and Pop Pop. Man. Pop Pop was just happy to talk to someone, especially his family. Man. You two are so so so so sorely missed. I still need to get down to the beach or a beach. Hoping to make some trips before the year is out. When I added my boarding pass to my apple wallet, I saw that priceline for the Mainstay. Lisa made a joke that Admiral Kalpbfus sounded Islamic. hahahahahahahahaa. I should show her the last book you bought me. Sheesh. hahahahahahah

Gotta get me back up to the Cliff Walk!!!! Such a great time with you. I remember showing it to Kathy...it was like she had seen the beginning of the world there. I am happy I got pics of you all up there, but I wish we got some with the water behind us. I cant think right now that we did.
